Feather love affair

I'm totally having a feather love affair! I found this Ralph Lauren T-shirt dress for $4 at a local thrift store, and the boots are part of my new shoe collection. I can't wait to rock them with my Fall looks. The headband perfectly placed in an alternative way, is my sanity to not being able to wear headbands the traditional way, now that I have a mohawk!

Rocker Signature

My new signature, super stacked bracelets, rocker style! This is six bracelets and a huge watch: Charming Charlie watch, 3 different Forever 21 studded or spike bracelets, Express leather bracelet, and a spiritual bracelet from Joel Osteen's bookstore. Also, I am in love with doubling up my skinny belts, shown is a gray vintage and an Aldo snakeskin.

Sweet Ankles - Part 1

I'm so addicted to ankle socks right now! I can't get enough of them! This whole obsession started when I kept seeing outfits shown with ankle socks and open toe wedge sandals in Lucky Magazine. Since then I've been dying to try the look. So here are a few of my new ankle socks I've added to my wardrobe. These bow ones are stupid girly, but sometimes my edgy look takes a detour! Both pairs are from Claire's for $1 EACH!

Tomorrow will be another post of my ankle sock obsession!  Wait to you see my new fave pink lace ones!! This my close toe shoe look, tomorrow I'll rock my open toe look.

Momma would be Proud

Today my momma would be proud. I adventured out to garage sale. Being a vintage addict, I jumped in my car with a furious drive to score big finds. It started out rough, I was melodramatic for a while that I'd never find one. BUT when I FINALLY did, the sun shined upon my soul...(drama)...ALL this for a total of $30: A Dooney & Bourke bag $15, Jewel CD $1, Dixie Chicks CD $1, salmon Bandolino pumps $3, authentic leather Tony Lama cowboy boots $8, and a sheer fringe shawl $1 (which somehow I lost!)
Some chick is probably wearing my shawl. Hmph. I will be posting outfits with my new finds this week!

Please Forgive Me

Please forgive me! I hate that I have neglected this fun project. Two months...no excuse. I will say my mind was clogged and I've been suffering from project ADD.

I decided I'd post this pic from a couple months ago, because I am in love with this black Zara jacket I got in South Beach. I paired it with Forever 21 cargo pants, Urban Outfitters tank, and my trusty Nine West snakeskin print pumps. Why did I post old pic? As a prelude to my apology. :) I am going to create TWO NEW posts tomorrow. Perhaps I'll be motivated to not stand in front of the orange wall...and perhaps I'll smile....lol.

Vintage lover

Sorry, I didn't post last week, snow days were lazy days.

I love these Steve Madden brown wedge boots! I got them for $20 when a store was closing. I wish I owned more color tights, like these vibrant magenta ones. The dress was a vintage find, that I wear with wedge sandals in the summer with a straw hat. For the winter, I've layered it with tights, a vintage stretch belt, and a vintage-inspired tweed fedora. Vintage accessories are to die for, like this striped shoulder bag.

Prescription: Prints, triple dosage, 1 pill a week

I love these plaid stilettos!! I found this navy and white polka-dot shirt at my favorite vintage store in Galena, IL. It was a treat from my husband during all the wedding planning trips we took to Galena. I even got a vintage hat and shoes that you will have to wait to see in another post. And, I told my hubby there's noooooo way I could get rid of this outfit, because I was inspired by my Examiner.com article, "New look for less: Mixing prints at Zara." I don't think he bought it.

Pink Grapefruit

Vintage finds from my favorite South Beach thrift store on Washington Ave. I miss that store so much!!! With Spring/Summer fashion focused on bright hues, I decided my first outfit has to include this hot pink elastic waist skirt. I adore vintage shirts; the workmanship is always so stunning.  This one in beautiful beige silk, with well-crafted pleats, is right on point with this season’s trends. The back of this blouse is button-up, amazing. I added my favorite cage heels in tan, and my 2” wide black patent belt to add interest.
